From Ron Lewis:

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Just a note to keep everyone appraised of progress as I'm aware of it. Other quarters or any problems, please let me know.

1. Alba Briggs has volunteered to undertake the Sidekick Quads for this year.
2. Tournament Life Announcements have been sent to Chess Life for the February issue.
3. Entry forms have been updated and drafts sent to TLs for review and any edits.
4. Tom has reserved the rooms for the tournament dates.
5. Bob and Dan are headed to NYC to visit Bob's daughter and get information on the Chess in the Schools project.

Things moving along pretty well. Thanks to everyone.

Ron

SW Maine Chess HS and Middle Schools

The dates for States are early again due to the National JHS tournament date.

March 3 - All-Girls
March 10 - Elem, JHS and HS Teams
March 17 - Snow Date
March 24 - Individuals

We might shoot for a February date for the SW Maine HS and JHS tournament, but that puts us in or about the end of the basketball season. Another possibility is to risk setting it at the March 17 snow date and rescheduling if necessary. Feedback welcome.

Hope to hear from you all (even if no program this year).

Ron Lewis
